Hello everybody. Welcome back to Vagabrothers. We are in Toronto International Airport, and we’re here for Buffer Festival, which is an online film festival hosted here every year. We just flew here from Los Angeles. It’s going to be a super fun couple of days. I think it’s like four days, tons of friends tons of cool stuff and lots of interesting films we’re going to see, including screening our film, East of Eden. So stay tuned. It’s going to be a good one. We just took the Up Train from the airport to downtown Toronto. We’re staying at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in the theater district. This is where all the YouTubers are staying. We’re all blocked out on one floor. There’s everyone arriving right now. So it’s a really fun time seeing people that we haven’t seen for a while and catching up. So we’re going to sign out for tonight, go get some dinner, go meet everyone we haven’t seen for a while, and then we’ll pick this up tomorrow as things are happening. We’re premiering our East of Eden film tomorrow evening, and we’ve got to get dressed for the occasion. We might have to go get a tux and do some other cool things around Toronto. So see you tomorrow. All right. It is our first full day here at Buffer Festival. We are here at Raya’s birthday brunch. She has turned 25. There’s an awesome gathering of people here. Everyone from the travel panel and a bunch of other friends as well.. We’re going to have some brunch and get the day started. Avocado toast. Avocado toast. Avocado toast. Oh wait ….we’ve got some more avocado toast coming in. I mean……I don’t really have too much to say. Brunch has concluded. So now we’re going to go get suited for tuxedos for the red carpet event, which is happening on Sunday night. We’re going to get tuxedos because nobody really wanted to travel with a tuxedo. This shop is hooking up all the Buffer Fest creators with tuxedos. We’ve got the whole squad here, and everybody’s waiting to get a tux. What are you thinking?, Thinking just like straight black. Can’t go wrong with that. It’s classy. I have a good bow-tie. This guy right here. Boom. Slick. Because you get the paisley, which is kind of a loud design in color, we’re keeping it nice and black. Very subtle. You can’t go over the top, right? He looks slick. Tonight is the night of the travel panel. We’re all going to a premiering film. We’ve got to get back to the hotel and get ready for that. All right Vagabuddies. It’s that time. It’s premiere time. It’s East of Eden screening time. It’s the travel and adventure panel here at Buffer Festival. It starts at 8 p.m.. It’s 7:27 and 55 seconds, which means we need to… we need to boogie because the theater where it’s going to be screened is 15 minutes away, and I don’t want to be late. Are you ready? I’m ready. Are you ready is the question? This is your night. I’m just here for support. But tomorrow is your night. I’m ready for both nights. True. We’re reunited. We’ve got a couple minutes until we go on stage. It’s been a wild journey. We’ve been to Buffer Fest two times before. The first time we submitted the short-film part, which was open to the public, and came as spectators. We’ve been once invited before, but this is like… I feel like Buffer Fest has evolved a lot. It’s really pro. There’s tons of people out here, and I just can’t wait to see what everyone is putting out. We’ve got Raya over here. She actually almost overslept.. jet lag, But you made it. You made it. It’s your birthday. I slept two hours over my alarm. It’s her birthday, so she’s got a get-out-of-jail-free card. But that means that we can party hard tonight. Oh. It’s time. Film just premiered. What a rush to see it go on the big screen. And now we’re doing a little bit of the red carpet. We’re going out to say hi to everyone who’s out here. We’re going to take some selfies. Let’s do it. Christian from Lost LeBlanc. You need to go subscribe to this channel right now. You need to go check out his video, his film Black Tusk. If you’re going to Southeast Asia, if you’re going to Thailand, watch it before you go. Some powerful stuff. Travel responsibly. That’s right. Stay curious, too. But travel responsibly. Also make sure you go check out Raya’s film, Home. It’s so powerful. Literally almost made me cry. I did kind of cry. It made me cry. Thank you. Alright guys.. day two of Buffer Festival. Last night was fun. We had some pizzas after the screening and sat been chilled. And today it’s the evening. We’re about to go to the comedy screening, which is happening in the same theater followed by music. It should be a fun night. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re here at the Toronto sign, a pretty beautiful little signage. But it’s a special….it’s a special day here in Toronto. Tonight they have a festival called Nuit Blanche, which means white and night and it’s also the Invictus Games, which were founded by Prince Harry. Basically, it’s like a sporting competition with former service members who were wounded in battle and have kind of come together to have like a sporting friendly sporting competition. Barack Obama was here yesterday hanging out with Prince Harry from the UK. Hillary Clinton was here, as well. Joe Biden gave away some awards at the ceremony, and we have Team Australia right behind us taking a group photo in front of the Toronto sign. I like Toronto. I think it’s a very multicultural city. Canada has really liberal immigration policy, and this is one of the most diverse cities on the planet. You see that reflected in the awesome food, cool people, and good vibes. Toronto’s awesome. Marko’s going to get mad at me if I get this hat. So we just finished the screening of the short-films. We’re heading over to Nuit Blanche, white night. It’s an art exhibition with over 90 different art exhibitions in downtown Toronto tonight, and it’s going to be good. I’ve been photobombed the entire time of this vlog. But I’m totally okay with that because the people who are photobombing me are all good people. You are the cutest little…can we dance? Alright guys..this is the last day of Buffer Festival. if the vloging has been spotty, that’s because it has been fun here, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with all of our homies, not filming too much. Just kind of enjoying the moment of being with all these awesome creators from around the world. Tonight’s the big night. It’s gala night. It’s Sunday. All the films have been shown. The votes have been cast. They’re going to pick eight films to show tonight. That’s not what’s about. It’s about coming and celebrating the awesomeness that is YouTube community. So first things first, got to get suited and booted, get ready. And I got a pretty sweet tux if you remember from day one. Let’s get ready. It’s gala festival. Last night at Buffer Festival, all of the winners of the different awards and the focus will be announced. But first we have dinner, and then we have cocktails, and then we have the gala. So join us. All right we have arrived. Marko, are you excited? Humbled more than anything, honestly. What are we we’re doing here? How did we get here? It’s crazy. Five years of making films, and now we’re premiering one at the Buffer Festival and going over the carpet. I’m just stoked. I still don’t feel like I belong here, but I’m stoked to be here. See ya, bro. There’re two ladies that want to walk you down the red carpet. Okay. All right. it’s time to get a seat. The gala is about to begin. I’ve got my cookie and wine. She’s got cookie and wine. So it begins. The curtains are drawn, and the big gala night is about to start. Without any further ado, let’s let Buffer Festival 2017 begin. For the enjoyment of others, please put any electronics to mute. Please welcome to the stage the winner of the Excellence in Cinematography, the Vagabrothers. Wow. I’m totally blown away. I just want to give a huge thank you to our crew because I didn’t shoot any of this and neither did my brother. I’m going to thank my best friend from high school and our director of photography, Carlos Mason, our drone operator and assistant camera, Shelby Meinzer, our sound guy, Dylan Hirsch, our colorist, Arianna Shining Star Pane, and California for providing a ton of stories and a beautiful backdrop for this story. Thank you, Buffer Festival for having us. And thank you to the entire community for inspiring us to make this film. Travel is a way to bring people together. All of us in this room… you guys are all so inspiring. We’re humbled to be amongst you, and I’m just.. I think this is a reminder that film can be a powerful way to bring people together. Thank you, guys. I can’t believe that we won. There’re amazing content creators in this room. We saw some incredible films. Thank you guys all for watching. The camera is dead. We’re going to sign this out, and hopefully we’ll see you guys soon. Much love and thank you for supporting Vagabrothers. Thank you Buffer, as well. Congrats to the other people. In the meantime, remember to stay curious, keep exploring, and we’ll see you guys in the road. We have more content coming soon. Big thanks to Carlos Mason, Shelby Meinster, Dylan Hirsch, Arianna Star and everybody out there. Stay tuned for the behind-the-scenes video. Oh. That was a beer bottle. We should drink some more.
