I have stage IV breast cancer. Prostate cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma. Metastatic tonsillar cancer. Triple negative breast cancer, stage III. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. UCI is an amazing place. I don’t think that I could have received better care anywhere in the country. They have treated me like I’m the only patient there. I’m really grateful for all the research that you have here, because you have it it all languages. And if there’s anything that can be done, it can be done here. Our role is to make sure they understand
that they aren’t alone. We sit down together and we plan out a treatment regimen that they’re
comfortable with and their family is comfortable with. No words can explain the feeling you get knowing that your loved one is okay. There was someone to answer my questions and it was just superb care that I got. Someone was always there to help me. and it just gave you a feeling that you knew you were in the right place. When I come to the hospital, I see the same smiling faces there calling me by my name, and it makes me feel at home. I’m standing in front of this camera
because I was treated properly. And I’m still getting excellent care
from the doctors and the staff here at UCI. I just want to say that you mean the world to me. I’m glad I met you. And I’m glad that I see you every so often, because you give me hope that I never had. You gave me the chance to live and spend more time with my family. Now I’ve become not a victim, but a survivor. I am so thankful to be having regular people problems. Thank you so much. Thank you. We’ve got to say more than just thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You guys are champions in my book.
