At the end, J Black and the finalists put on an impressive performance where they became one through K-Pop. People from different nationalities, cultures and languages are able to come together through the music of K-Pop. This is the power of K-Pop. That’s right. Powerful choreography used to be what came to mind when you thought of K-Pop. But now, the music, outfits, styles and more… Everything related to K-Pop is loved by the world. Thanks to the growing popularity of K-Pop, the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon is growing more popular. The result being that the competition is greater than ever. The finalists who defeated the competition are all standing on the stage before you. Let’s find out just fierce the competition was for them. Their mannerisms on stage are pretty much like the pros. It takes extensive practice to get that right. Right. I think I know how much the finalists rehearsed. That’s right. We are joined by fans of K-Pop all over the world that dream as they watch our K-Pop artists. We have a congratulatory performance that will heat things up even more. They’ve become close with fans worldwide with their cute and refreshing charm. NCT 127. (“0 Mile” by NCT 127) The finalists are headed somewhere filled with excitement. The center of K-Pop where all the hot K-Pop stars gather. They’re at a “Music Bank” recording. (The recording begins) The stars receiving this grand applause is the powerful and youthful girl group, GFRIEND. (They sing along) (GFRIEND!) The finalists are excited by GFRIEND’s song. Next up is the loveable girl group, APRIL. They have the finalists laugh and even cry. APRIL’s song reaches the climax with the cheers from the finalists. (The finalists cheer enthusiastically) After APRIL’s performance… I love APRIL. My favorite. Yoon Chaekyung, I love you. I love you. APRIL appears in front of the Vietnam team who just professed their love. After the fun time with K-Pop stars… The finalists arrive at the next location. (Wow) It’s a hanbok store filled with grace, splendor and beautiful colors. They choose hanbok of their choice. It looks so good on her. It’s so pretty. Yes, I like it. With detailed styling, they can’t help be excited. Photos are a must at a moment like this. (Heading to a traditional village in hanbok) Dressed in hanbok, the finalists head to experience traditional culture. (First up is a Hangul experience) We’ll try writing Hangul with the brush. They write their names and meaningful words. They may not be fluent but they do their best. “Sarang.” Betty. We love Korean. They’re quite good. Next up is the nap experience. Have a lie down. It might be uncomfortable since it’s their first time with a bamboo body pillow. But the tired finalists fall asleep in no time. (Next is a taekwondo show) A traditional taekwondo show and cool wooden board breaking demonstration. They’re wide awake from their naps now and attempt to break boards. They really pack a punch, don’t they? They play a tour game to choose their next destination. (They play pitch-pot) How will the first team do? (A close miss) The next arrow was so close. What about this time? (Success!) She gets it in with a crisp sound. (Some are happy while others are sad) Both teams have made their choices. Let’s head out again. They head to Myeong-dong, the food and shopping center of Seoul. They’re excited about all the street food. (Their first dish is a banana crepe) Just by looking at it, you can tell it’s sweet. It’s a choco banana crepe. (So good) You can’t leave out spicy rice cakes. (So good) They even get fresh fruit juice. They’re all really enjoying themselves. (The pitch-pot winners chose a beauty shop) The finalists have a sparkle in their eyes. It’s a beauty shop with everything K-Pop. What special thing does this group get? Nice to meet you. The finalists get a chance to try on makeup. They can’t miss out. (They choose 2 guys and 2 girls) The makeup artists are transforming them. It’s already the 7th K-Pop World Festival held here in Changwon. 2018 is the year to visit Changwon and the year of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. There’s so much to see, eat and enjoy. What will they think after trying spicy rice cakes for the first time? Are you okay? The Nigeria team showcase their b-boying to the sweet tunes. They really a unique. We’re very positive that we can do busking very very well. This street really grabs your attention. It’s a hidden graffiti alley in Hongdae. The finalists enjoyed Hongdae without a break. They have a break now as they admire the artwork. (Promotion is a must) They’re promoting their busking as the time draws near. They even strike up conversations with passersby. They even show off their talents to draw interest. But the four judges must be racking their brains. Singing and dancing in a foreign language isn’t an easy task. You need the correct pronunciation and you need to understand the lyrics to express them. Because we know the effort it takes, we can’t help but cheer them on. That’s right. There are so many multi-national groups these days including SEVENTEEN and NCT. Now we have idol groups from other countries debuting as K-Pop groups in Korea. K-Pop can be someone’s dream and the world can become one through K-Pop. This is fascinating and a source of pride.
